Adapted from Megan Hunter’s award-winning novel of the same name, The End We Start From is a 2023 British survival film starring Jodie Comer. Comer, in what the Guardian called ‘a magnificent lead performance’, plays a young woman who has to endure displacement when a widespread ecological disaster floods Britain.

Helmed by director Mahalia Belo, the film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023 and was nominated in several categories at the 2023 British Independent Film Awards.
